I can tell you it's WELL WORTH THE MONEY, so much so that I upgrade each time a new version is released. I have utilized Boson Netsim since version 8. Possibly add more current software/hardware to the simulators and it would be worth the cost. Commands used in the older versions are different than what is out there. For the price charged for the simulators and practice exams they should be more up to date with what is being used in everyday businesses. Routers and switches are behind in the IOS versions/hardware availability that are currently used in the real world. Good to get the basics but not good to practice real world simulations when configuring a lab. NetSim is a good product to practice with but lacks newer routers, switches and IOS. Good Simulator but lacking in software and hardware This seems like it is not consistent with best business practices. Next I come back an check and my review has been modified to 5 starts and not posted. I received response that many universities still use boson to teach ISIS fpr the route 300-101 exam. Sending e-mail to tech support to see how this gets resolved.Ĭurrently I am gonna say 1 star and we will how this plays out.

I ran the update utility and it says all my files are current and I am worried about paying good money to get 10 year old content. Now CCNP route is 300-101 and this is due for refresh. I jumped right to the redistribution lab and it has IS IS. Still has ISIS what gives ISIS retired from exam in BSCI The person I spoke to about this was quite rude at Boson.īoson delivers the best training materials time after time Any software that I have purchased in the past I can still use and only have to pay if I want to upgrade to a later version. Also I would expect to at least have continued access to the version I paid for, and only charged for upgrades (not forced to upgrade). For the price, and the fact that the license is only good for 3 years, I would expect more. However I get more functionality with GNS3 (freeware). Netsim has some usefulness for a quick analysis.
